When you’re in sales, the whole key is finding ways to multiply sales and boost your bottom line, while adding more value for your customers and clients.
A good list of 10 easy to implement ways, follows…
As you know, I’m a big fan of “lists” like this for many reasons.
I think it’s a great way to get good information out in small bunches.
They’re easy to read, follow, and understand.
As long as you use them yourself, with the ability to relay that in your message, they make for great newsletters as well!
See how easy it is to make a list?
Enjoy…
10 Ways To Multiply Your Sales
1. Follow Up: When you make your first sale to a new customer, make sure you follow-up with him/her. You could follow-up with a “thank you” email and maybe include an advertisement for other products you sell (cross selling).
You could and should follow-up every few months.
2. Up-sell: You could up-sell to your customers. When they’re at your order page, tell them about a few extra related products you have for sale. They could just add it to their original order.
Just make sure to have different price ranges if possible.
3. Referral Program: Tell your customers if they refer X amount of customers to your web site, they will receive something special - maybe a full rebate of their purchase price or an extra item, etc.
Use your imagination and this can turn one sale into three or more sales.
4. Affiliate Program: When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make commissions selling your product. This will multiply the sale you just made.
This could work very well, but if you’re in direct sales, this is easiest done if you sell a select few amount of items, unless it is MLM.
5. Reprint/Resell Rights: Sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could include an ad on or with the product for other products you sell. You could make sales for the reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.
This is best done with digital products, ie: eBooks, software, etc.
6. Cross Promotion: You could cross promote your product with other businesses’ products in a package deal. You can include an ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other businesses selling for you.
7. Keep yourself in their mind: When you ship out or deliver your product, include a coupon for other related products you sell in the package. This will attract them to buy more products from you.
This is done offline unless you offer online coupons, perhaps through email.
8. Send a catalog: Send your customers a catalog of add-on products for the original product they purchased. This could be upgrades, special services, attachments, etc.
Also done offline, unless you have a digital catalog. If they enjoy your product they will buy the extra add-ons.
9. Coupons & Gift Certificates: Sell gift certificates for your products. You’ll make sales from the purchase of the gift certificate, when the recipient cashes it in.
They could also buy other items from your web site.
10. Freebies: This usually works very well. Send your customers free products with their product package. The freebies should have your ad printed on them. It could be bumper stickers, ball caps, t-shirts etc.
This will allow other people to see your ad and order.

“Keep yourself in mind”, can be done by email marketing. You want to build relationship with customers and not contacting them only when you want to sell something.
