The F-shape comment is interesting. I've also seen some studies that suggest breaking information down into small chunks about 1" by 2'.

i don't think there is an easy way to make money online anymore. i think it requires building a community by creating really useful and interesting content that is hopefully completely unique.

this generates interest by people linking to your site and then traffic numbers grow that way. as a web designer the majority of the problem is getting clients to actually do some work. i dont think seo guys can write stuff on a topic they no nothing about!

Great tips for e- commerce site. As suggested in the above comments to include testimonial on the site. I think its ok. Instead of it can put individual links for the review of the particular product. It helps to understand the feedback of the client for the particular product and also help and encourage other clients to purchase it. Thanks for the post. I will implement this steps when work for the SEO.
As the topic discussed above for the web designer to design a SEO friendly websites. It will be good If they just design a site with the basics of SEO in mind like URL's should be static, alt tag in the images, use external css, and many more.

@Ur4ever,

I agree with you, as I said in my post.

"Another conversion question is whether people buy the first time they visit your site. Some do, but I’m sure many do not - either they are still researching , not ready to buy or are not comfortable yet."

The first timers are not really the issue, it is those that do not buy first time. How do you keep them coming back? What content do you provide for them to return? Maybe they are still in the research phase and are not quite ready? Can you get them to subscibe so that you can keep in touch?

Marketing Sherpa has conducted studies that indicate that you will always have those that buy first time they visit your site. Maybe they have been researching other sites for some time and these competitors don't get the business - you do. You will never know this!

However, MP also indicates that there is quite a substantial number of visitors that don't buy first time and you need to have a process in place that keeps you top of mind so that when they are ready to buy they come back to you.

These are all good tips but many apply to any site, Especially #3 & 4. I didn't understand what you mean by an "F" shape. Can you explain more?
