  • 6 Days Since Last Post: Lots Of Updates!

update.jpgHello all, it’s been about a week since my last post where I discussed merging blogs.

At the tail end of that post, I hinted to the fact that I would have to spend a little time playing catch-up from my sudden 2month disappearance.

Well here we are. I’ve been home a little over 2 weeks and madly catching up. I think I’ve done well so far with lots of internal touch-ups complete (you may or may not notice those), and three new pages I needed to do!

I’m still not “done” (are we ever?) but going along reasonably smoothly.

Now it’s those three new pages I would like to point your attention too…

    1. Wanna buy a review? I charge a reasonable wage (with a perk for subscribers) and always work my butt off on each one to make sure it’s done well. Check out the Review Policy.

    2. Guest Bloggers Wanted! Right before my accident, I posted about wanting guests for affiliate marketing, social networking and offline marketing.

I’m still greatly looking for guests in those areas, but now I will take guests in any area this blog covers! Wanna be a guest blogger?

Note: To those that responded to the last post, I responded to your comments as soon as I returned. No need to re-comment your want’s, zi will contact you ASAP.

    3. Official Comment Policy - Although 98% of you are superb commenter’s, it was time to do this. Please read it. I even through in a perk or two for those that comment responsibly ;)

Thats it for today, as always feel free to leave your thoughts :-)

    Never stop pushing forward!
    Dennis

I just spent a few minutes reading your comment policy. Nice, I like when blogs include official policies on comments and yours was even entertaining! :)

LOL thanks Bruce! I’ve always felt that “humor that gets the point across” is the best of both worlds. :-)

Nice comment policy. Probably everyone should have one of those, but I just don’t see to many people reading it besides regulars *shrug*.

Everyone should have one, yes. I know what you mean though, perhaps it will take a deletion or two too drive the point home. ;)

Hey Dennis, good to see you are catching up again :)
I was just reading your comment on my site and it only hit to me know that you have been in rehab, really sorry to hear about that, but glad to see you back again on track and rocking :D

LOL I read the pages you added and had a little chuckle over your comment policy page. Maybe I should have put one up as well, but quite frankly I can´t be bothered anymore and just hit the delete button on any commentator who abuses my blog.

Kind of just feels like common sense to me to behave in other peoples “homes” if you know what I mean and if they don´t, I just can´t be bothered anymore.

My blog used to be do-follow but after having been on too many do-follow lists I received way more spam comments than I felt ok with so I have taken the do-follow off in the end. Big shame but well, I gave it a try LOL

      Catch you around!

Just to be clear, that was PHYSICAL rehab LOL.

Things are going well so far, thanks for the kind words :)

The comment policy is awesome. Now that I have something official, if someone breaks it, I can mock and abuse them with glee! LMAO! Just kidding…

Do-Follow - I must be one of the luckiest bloggers lol, I haven’t had much more of a (human) spam problem since installing it.

Hey Dennis, you are fast replying, rehab has done you good :P

It just seemed too much of a bother to set up rules when not that many people will read them anyways, atleast not the people who should read the comment policy in the first place. In the end it just seemed easier to go without one and just delete or mark as spam if it seemed like abuse to me, without having to justify :P

As for the luck you mention, I have lost count of the dofollow list my blog is on, and there are a few lists that actually recommend just leaving a comment on dofollow blogs with keywords etc, focussing on the SEO side of things, without going a bit more into the quality of comments.

Once you get on lists like that, which almost recommend spamming dofollow blogs in order to get backlinks you will see an increase is comments that really s*ck …. man, some people really are lazy or just don´t get it ROFL

euhm…. a little after thought, seeing that you are working on adding pages and such …. when are you going to fill up the “coming soon” sections?? :P:P

Hey Mirjam, before my accident I prided myself on quick replies :-)

Did you see the irony I pointed out in the apology post? Check out the popular post I did right before it…

      Oy.

The saddest part is, some “guru’s” recommend it too newbies also.

Coming Soon - yea those have been up way longer then intended also.

They’re actually slated for a really cool advertising method I thought up…I think those with like-minded blogs will jump at it.

It’s not the norm, bet on that ;) I’ll post about it.
