  • A Personal Message To All My Readers - Sincere Apologies For Unavoidable Disappearance

Hello everyone, I am so sorry for my sudden disappearance of the past (nearly) 2 months. I was trapped in a hospital + physical rehab center due to a foolish accident with no internet access…

It all starts on the morning of July 11th. As this dope fills a small jug of water…spills a bit…slips and goes down…..HARD.

Picture this if you will……….a 6′ 7″ 500lb man twisting and turning all the way to the floor. Not a pretty picture is it. Yea, I suppose I was “lucky” to get out with ONLY a torn ligament in one knee. No surgery needed, but a few weeks of hard rehab.

The good point if there is one would be losing 75lbs in a little less then 2 months; NICE!

The bad points are obvious……again I’m very sorry for not being able to keep in touch. Now there are 2 specific bad points to point out…

    1. The sadly ironic point is this all started just THREE DAYS after the popular post entitled ” Blog Comment Tip - Respond To Comments Or Risk Losing Subscribers

Oops. No, not to make excuses because I AM beating myself up over this, but those that read it and agree with it, should also agree that things like this at least somewhat fall under “acceptable terms”.

(I know what the initial response will be to this, and it will be covered in an upcoming post ;) )

And just ONE DAY after the important post entitled ” Guest Posts Wanted - Affiliate Marketing And Social Networking

which also received a few comments. ALL comments have now have responses and thank you. If I did happen to miss yours (there were about 50), I’m sorry and please let me know.

    2. Email - this was bad. Somehow I received 2200+ emails in a mere five days. YIKES! I got hurt on July 11th and by the 16th my inbox was “returning to sender”!

    Aye Curumba.

If you happened to send me an email between July 16th and yesterday, Sept. 4 I did not receive it. I am truly sorry for this as well and can only ask that you resend if possible.

Well, I believe that is all for this rather humbling experience. Once again, my apologies for what happened and a big thank you to those that have stuck around to read this :)

    Dennis

I understand how you feel. I never had an internet business when I had my accident which left me in hospital a long time.I did end up losing a bunch of contacts that were important because I was gone too long.
In the end I made new contacts but I wish I had the old ones to but thats life.

Wow, I am so sorry Dennis, and believe me I can relate to how helpless you must have felt, especially after that post about comments and guest posts, it would have driven me crazy not being able to access the blog, but believe me, I am sure that most of your readers are like me, I knew something must have been wrong, and I was worried, and not once did I think, what an a-hole he just disappeared.

I am very glad you are okay and yes it could have been a lot worse.

      Welcome back and No Worries!!!

Hi Karen, thanks so much, it’s always ral nice to be missed! :) (Especially when I don’t owe money lol).

In regards to vacation disappearances and those similar. I can honestly say, I guarantee I would never *voluntarily* disappear without notifying my readers.

My personal belief is that ’s just rude, especially with a business related blog.

      No worries here! :-)

Thanks again and I hope to see you ’round more ;)

JR - Oh brother I tell ya what. It was about the second day (when the pain meds were kickin’ in) when I, D’OH! O’GOD.

What’s worse is, towards the end of my rehab stint, I actually DID have access to a computer there…problem was, you had to sign up for a certain time slot and only had 30 minutes.

I knew it would take longer then that to write this post the way I wanted it.

Thanks for the reassurance though, always appreciated :)

Psst - nice name, heh :-)

On a serious note, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been suffering, but relieved that you’re on the mend. You’d been so busy just prior to your disappearance - what timing for an accident, tho how typical of life - but, I’m sure you’ll soon regain the momentum you’d built up.

Welcome back to the circuit, mate. :-)

LOL So good to be missed! Thanks so much for the welcome, but you made one slight spelling error… it’s c-i-r-c-u-s :-)

I regards to serious, it will take a bit of timer to get into full swing, but one thing I learned from this (which is not really evident in the article) is I can not and really do not want to go as much as I was…

… up to 18 or so hours a day.

      Congrats on the new site!

@Dennis, I remember when you originally wrote this; how are you doing now?

I also remember back in 1991, I was going through a depression and I was losing 7 pounds a week for, well, about six weeks, until my body decided it had enough and started to turn on me. Course, I wish now that I could just get it to perk up and drop like that again, this time doing it on purpose, but you know how that goes.

      @Colleen - Kennewick Real Estate,

Hey Colleen, first off thanks for actually following links! I know how rare that is ;) .

You raise a very good point. We jump from blog to blog so often, we all tend to forget there’s a real live human behind the scenes.

This is one reason why I feel it’s important for bloggers to have a true personal blog online.
