A Winner For The $5 Favicon Contest!
FINALLY! I know I know, sorry about that
. We must now all congratulate, MIRJAM!!!
I’ve decided to go with the DE idea after all, for two reasons; only one of which I can fully explain now
.
1. I’m thinkin’ it can be easily shrunk down and still be recognizable.
2. I’m going to be using the same Favicon on ALL my sites, but I’ve come up with way to incorporate it into the individual ad banners I will have made for each site, for what might make the ultimate branding package!
Sorry I can’t divulge anymore then that right now, as certain details still need to be ironed out. Yan knows, but he ain’t tellin’ either
.
CONGRATULATIONS MIRJAM!!
I wish I could have made that blink. LOL Send me your Paypal address buddy
.

Congrats, Mirjam. Your idea is indeed a better one than me. I couldn’t be possibly winning it all unless others will think otherwise…

Yep, I went with THAT logo for 2 reasons…it can be shrunk and still recognizable as most can’t, plus I thought up a whole new idea of how to incorporate it.

Congratulations Mirjam, nice job.
@ Dennis I don’t know if it will help any but I use this cool generator I found a while back. It’s free and I even was able to use my actual picture (head shot) on my personal blog. The online generator is at http://www.favicon.co.uk/ It’s not my site and I don’t know the owner, I just have it bookmarked.
I used my personal blog with this post if you want to see the Favicon I generated with that site. All you have to do is create a 16×16px .jpg image and then use the generator to convert it to an .ico image.

Brian - thanks for the tip! Nice favicon, although I wouldn’t change the header…without the comparison, it’s not really recognizable…this was my biggest issue.
Nice blog too, I’ve subscribed.
