  • You Have Spoken - I Have Listened. We Will Have Us An All-In-One Blog Again.

Welcome to D.S.W.M., where Direct Sales meets Online Marketing. We cover it all, as elementary as possible because we know you’re new. Got a wish list? Skribit! Like what you see? We offer Full Feed updates.

MarketingMarketingI have spent a lot of time talking to a great many of you since I declared that I was tightening focus and splitting into a network of “elementary” Blogs.

My friend Katy Castro recently wrote about transitioning a niche blog, and one of the main points was Communicating With Readers, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

Through comments, emails, messenger chat, and even phone conversations, the majority percentage of you really did not like the idea.

You were afraid I may ignore the other aspects, not cover them as thoroughly as I should or once did, etc etc. I can assure you this would not have been the case.

However, what’s the #1 rule for ANY business? Listen To Your People. (A slightly less obnoxious way to say “the customer is always right”.) It is very true.

Whether they are website/blog readers, customers, clients, or whatever…without them you have NOTHING.

Sooo, because of all of your extraordinary feedback, overtime we will be morphing back into the “All-In-One Blog” loved even more then this one :-)

Instead of “Beginner-Intermediate Level Internet Marketing Techniques and Principals For The Direct Sales Consultant.“, We will once again be “Elementary Techniques and Principals for Internet Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Blogging, Webdesign & Social Networking, for the Direct Sales Consultant.”

(Or something slightly shorter that means the same thing lol.)

Please don’t misunderstand, I wholeheartedly believe in what I said here, for the reasons I gave…

    1. Yes, Blogging is very important for several different reasons. Just to name two, it strongly helps to promote a main site if you have a blog or 2 to go with it, plus it can “easily bring in some side cash as well…

However, it is not essential to the beginner marketer, know what I mean? It is a must eventually, but it can be a huge distraction as “another thing to learn” before it’s time.

    2. Yes, Web design is important for many obvious reasons, but I assume since you are here to learn how to market, you already have a site online. Step 1: Get site online. Step 2: Start Marketing. Worry about “perfecting” the site as you go, otherwise you won’t get anywhere.

    3. Affiliate Marketing - AM is very cool, I love it, and yes you can earn considerable side cash. Especially as a direct sales pro, you can affiliate yourself with many items that coincide with your main product(s) and make good extra money.

Again however, this definitely falls under the distraction category of “yet another thing to learn”. Affiliate marketing is not essential for DS consultants at all. You have your own products to think about first and foremost.”

However with the proper framework, categorizing and so forth, I definitely will strive for the best we can do and not make it all TOO “confusing” for everyone.

After all, the only thing NOT changing, is the fact that all information provided here is for the Elementary marketer ;) (a big thank you to Jen, for coming up with the “beginner” synonym…very cool) :-)

Just to recap - You will once again find ALL your marketing info need in one spot…IM AM Blogging Webdesign and Social Networking. All elementary for your easy understanding and implementation ;). My virtual door is always open for comments, suggestion, constructive critisism, or if you just wish to chat up some business :)

Got suggestions for me? Something you want to know and see? Skribit anytime!

Always remember, if you run a business of any kind that has humans on the receiving end…do anything (legally, ethically, morally) possible, to make them happy :)

    To our mutual success!
    Dennis
