@Rose,

Well actually niche blogs can be way different when it comes to commenting.

Depending on the niche and what kinda info you display, commenting may not come into the picture much...now if visitors are asking questions and being ignored, then yea, a lot less sales. lol

Would you like to provide links to the abandoned blogs? Either here in public or privately through my contact form...perhaps they needn't be abandoned. ;)

This is such a fun blog! lol!
I'm guilty of not commenting to posts on my various niche blogs, mostly because that wasn't mentioned in the eBook I bought that told me how to make niche blogs for profit, and I didn't understand the importance of bulding a community of repeat readers.

And guess what happened! I got traffic but no sales!

Surprise, surprise :-p

I have abandoned those blogs for more honorable pursuits.

@almir,

Well, let me address you about the messy things that i like on this blog. Risk LOSING Subscribers that means to reply to every single commenter, isn't it messy?

But you know blogger delete only thous comment which he feels are vital or very strong opposing. But if the visitor/reader keep visiting again and again and comment late after the admin number of blogs then then visitor is through to minds of Author and with appropriate comment which all visitors like would be liked by Author. I keep visiting to same blog to check many different post by author and then i do comment, where i feel its best.

i never thought of it before wow thats something new

i thought that by commenting on your own posts it just makes your blog look messy

im going to start commenting back to my bloggers response because thats why i’m probably losing some of my blog subscribers as they think i probably abandoned my own blog

i hate when i come across a great blog and when you want to comment to build a friendship with the blogger they have turned off the comments or have the comments are closed saying because it destroys the friendly part of the blogging atmosphere or a sense of connectivity

@Alan @ Work At Home Resources, Yea you run into that from time to time. If I truly believe I violated nothing, I won't return to that blog again.

@Dennis Edell,

I agree. Then there's the blogger that doesn't like what you say and just deletes your comment. I can't stand that.

@Alan @ Work At Home Resources, Yes indeed and the courtesy aspect is just the tip of it all.

If one really doesn't want to be bothered, they can just turn comments off...then though they defeat the whole purpose and can't really call themselves a blogger.

I've made it a point to reply to all comments on my blog. I feel it's common courtesy to do so as they took the time to comment.

I can completely understand why you would lose them as a reader if you didn't. I would be a bit mad if I took the time to comment and was completely ignored as well. It would probably be the last time I would comment and probably wouldn't visit the blog again.
