  • Blogging Halted Here - Don’t Despair, This Is A Good Thing!

    WOW “don’t despair” sure sounds awfully big headed of me, don’t it? Who the hell am I? It got ya here though, didn’t it ;) . More on proper titles another time, for I will not be blogging here for a while…well not really.

    This post may be long and may seem to jump around a bit; I’m thinking as I type. As always my comments and contact form are open for ya :) . Here goes…..

    Unless this is your first visit, you should be well aware by now, that everything from this blog is moving to another; hopefully by the new year.

    WELL AWARE.

    You’re tired of hearing about it and I’m tired of talking about it, so that’s where 90% of my energy is going until it is done.

    The ONLY posts you will see from ME here are the following…

    Updates on progress assuming you care.
    Very short posts pointing you to guest posts I will be serving across the sphere, assuming anyone wants them. LOL. (More on this below.)
    Anything quick and important that might pop up in the mean time, but I doubt much.

    I think that about covers it.

    The other 10% of my time will be as follows:

    1. Guest posting around the sphere (see #2 above). I have a little less then 200 drafts sitting in my admin just a click away, and I know exactly what goes in each one; shouldn’t take me much time at all for each.

    If you’re going to write these posts anyway, why not post them here? (We both know you were just thinking that.)

    Without turning this into yet another “why you should guest post” article, it’s simple…..I KNOW how valuable guest posting can be for both parties involved. However I admit I am also one of those that has had that ever nagging feeling of not wanting to “give up” the good stuff and not wanting to “waste time” not blogging on my own blog.

    This is over and I can’t think of a better time to do it!

    2. Keeping up as best I can with other importance: Email, Messenger, Blog Commenting, etc etc. If you are aware of my comment commando skills, you want to accept my guest posts ;) .

    That’s about it about me for now, let’s talk about you…..I’ll also accept guest posts to be posted periodically through this time. Just read the rules as they are and send them on through. I would appreciate as little work for me as possible. Follow the simple steps and pre-format it as much as possible.

    Thanks much for listening and comment/contact me at will. :)

    6. Alex Sysoef Says:

      Hey Dennis,

      Why move? why not just keep both? This blog has its following, it has its rank - why abandon it all - 2 blogs can co-exist :-)

      James Moralde Reply:

      @Alex Sysoef, yeah, why can’t you just manage 2 blogs? Others are doing more and are doing well.

      Obviously, the guy’s got reasons for doing what he plans to do. I hope this is an experiment into some new SEO discovery. :) Please share with us as soon as you make conclusions, buddy. :)

      Dennis Edell Reply:

      @Alex Sysoef,

      Oh dear Alex (and James), it seems you have missed an important explanatory type post ;) .

      Actually, when all is said and done, I will eventually have 2-3-4 blogs running smooth; that part isn’t explained in the post though.

      Alex Sysoef Reply:

      @Dennis Edell,

      Actually I seen it Dennis :-) I still say that keeping both is valid :-) you can always build on top of what you have accomplished here and direct all to new blog :-)

      But hey, its your blogs :-) Cheers and good luck!

      Dennis Edell Reply:

      @Alex Sysoef,

      Well here’s the thing. It’ll still be my “personal blog”; you’ll see what I mean when the new tag line and about page go into effect, but it won’t be the normal personal personal blog anymore….the fact is, I couldn’t think of too much to post under that and it was going to waste. lol

    7. Gabe | freebloghelp.com Says:

      Blog moves are both fun and painful…just like a real move! Good luck to you and I can’t wait to see the new home.

      Dennis Edell Reply:

      @Gabe | freebloghelp.com,

      Thanks man! Be sure to stick around as y’all will have to “move” also…subscription wise that is…very simple. ;)

    8. DiTesco Says:

      OK. I was not really aware that you are making your move to a new blog. Then again, it is completely my fault for not (yet) being one of your regular readers - something that I intend to remedy very quickly. Anyway, good luck to your move and hopefully it will be smooth and problem free:)

      Dennis Edell Reply:

      @DiTesco,

      All or most at least explained here! ;) .

      Thanks!
