Best “Blog Improvement Review” Contest - 3 Winners - $100 via Paypal

Spur of the moment contest to write the best review of this blog that you can! I realize I recently held a blog review contest featuring my other two blogs. That was primarily for promotional purposes as they were brand new blogs. Now I want reviews of this blog. Although it will be good promotion, that is not my primary reason; I’ll explain…

If you’ve read my past several posts, you now know that I am taking somewhat of a writing break to work on the inside and outside of all 3 of my blogs…this will take concentration. I’ll be starting with inside work first - SEO type stuff; cleaning up tags, keywords, links, etc., and this should take some time.

Notice the specific name of the contest, The Best “Blog Improvement Review” Contest. Yep that’s right. You write the honest review as you would with any, but, you focus primarily on what you think needs improving/updating/revising/revamping, whatever. Inside and out; assuming you can tell from the outside what needs to be done inside.

Do You Use eBay to Grow Your OTHER Businesses?

shop ebayAh eBay. Hundreds of thousands of people buying and selling on a daily basis.

Everything from emptying the junk from the basement, to quite a few making full time incomes; some very high incomes.

But, did y’all know that many of the people who make money FROM eBay don’t actually make all of that money ON eBay?

Yep, you read that right. There are all sorts of ways you can use eBay to give your existing businesses a boost!

Supply: If you have any leftover stock or used items from another business you run, then why not sell them on eBay?

You can make this a regular thing, using it to get rid of things that won’t sell for the premium you ask for in a shop, or items that are no longer in demand in the town or city where your business is based.

12 Ways To Outsell Your Competition

outsell competitionIn our ever growing bag of sales tips, here’s another angle. An angle that you should always keep an eye on…the best ways to outsell your competition!

The key to outselling your competition is to compare both your product and promotions to theirs. When you find the differences between you, use your findings to improve your product or offer.

These are the top 12 things you can compare and improve upon to outsell your competition.

    1. Price: Can you offer a lower price? Can you offer a higher price and increase the perceived value of your product? Do you offer easier payment options than your competition?

    2. Packaging: Can you package your product more attractively? Do the colors of your package relate to your product? Can you package your product into a smaller or larger package?

10 General, Useful Tips To Add To Your Bottom Line

soup.jpgI’m still super busy putting the final touches on a rather large blog project for every one, but had to stop to give you something simple yet tasty to devour in the meantime.

Kinda like a really good soup :-)

It’s common knowledge in the web world that readers LOVE lists, especially simple ones that can help earn some cash ;)The 10 tips I share here may seem general and even “common sense” to some, but they are very useful and in-fact, sometimes largely overlooked. Ironically, the “obvious” usually is.

    1. Use a “P.S.” or more then one at the end of your ad copy. This is where you either want to repeat a strong benefit or your “call to action” or use a strong close like a free bonus.

    2. Publish a free e-book and give it away. This will increase your traffic, sales and subscribers. Make it brandable to add the much needed viral effect.

Under Promise - Over Deliver For Greater Success

over-deliverover-deliverAs an online marketer your customers do not know you. They cannot see your face. They cannot hear your voice when you are recommending your products, and they cannot see or feel your emotions when you are telling them about the benefits of your products.

The Internet is now a world game and it offers a level playing field for anyone out there who has a computer. This connectivity means that you have the potential to reach every individual in the world.

You are no longer limited by normal geographical constraints. Basically anyone can be your virtual customer!

The only problem with this new age of connectivity is that your competitors have the very same opportunities as you do. No longer are you only competing with your neighbors, you’re also in competition with every marketer in your niche around the world.

    7 Ways To Boost Sales

    sales boostsales boost

There are of course many many many more than 7, so this will be a quickie but goodie. As you should have noticed by now, we have and will discuss many more…

    1. Publish testimonials you receive - whether it’s for both your paid or your free stuff. This is something a lot of folks overlook; if you publish testimonials you receive for your freebies, it will increase their value; and if they’re viral marketing tools, you’ll have more people giving them away.

    2. Give your visitors an enjoyable visit - They’ll want to return again and again! Use a few jokes, humorous graphics, funny stories and so forth. Just make sure not to go too far off topic of your site as this can confuse and bewilder the visitor, which will defeat the purpose.

Sell More To Your Existing Customers: The Up-sell

upsell.jpgupsell.jpgRegardless of all the different traffic techniques in the world, even with proven sales copy and conversion methods in place, even with years of studying and applying various direct and indirect marketing approaches, the one thing I have found that brings in the most money to just about any business is the ability to up-sell each individual customer on an additional item they did NOT intend to originally purchase.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the term “up-sell,” let me use an example from one of the world’s most famous companies to illustrate this point:

When people walk into the fast-food giant, McDonald’s, to order a simple hamburger or a Vanilla shake, without fail they are presented with the phrase that has helped this company dominate the fast-food market:

“Would you like fries with that?”

As you know, I’m a big fan of “lists” like this for many reasons.

10 Ways To Multiply Your Sales

    1. Follow Up: When you make your first sale to a new customer, make sure you follow-up with him/her. You could follow-up with a “thank you” email and maybe include an advertisement for other products you sell (cross selling).
