CommentLuv Down - But Workin’ On It!
Hello everyone,
By now some of you have begun to notice that my CommentLuv plugin is out of action. I’m sorry, I was really hoping to have it working before too long.
This is also why I haven’t responded to comments in the past day or so, which I’m going to get to right after this post; here’s what I think happened…
I installed one plugin that was meant to clearly show backlinks of what blogs were linking to what post within this blog.
Very cool I thought as it is much clearer then looking at trackbacks. I also installed a 2nd companion plugin who’s sole purpose is to help the first plugin work.
As far as I can tell, one or both of these did a serious screw job on my inner workings and took out CommentLuv…..so far I don’t see any other problems, which I suppose is a really good thing.
Luckily I have “super geek, CommentLuv author, and all around awesome guy” Andy Bailey on the case!
I truly appreciate your understanding, and continued commenting until this is resolved.
It’s one of the BEST plugins out there, and I REALLY hope for it to be back in action soon; thank you!
Never stop pushing forward!
Dennis

Duuuude you have no idea, I think I may cry.
the last thing I asked Andy was if simply reinstalling the theme might set everything back to before I installed the plugins.
His heart dropping response was as follows: “It wouldn’t change anything Dennis, the plugins you installed must have updated the database entries and messed things up.”
I’m now waiting on a response to something else, so I will keep everyone informed

Man, this reminds me of the joke about the women who got on an elevator looking for the perfect man, only to find out there weren’t any perfect men. As the parrot in a Popeye cartoon once sang, “Leave well enough alone.” lol

It’s odd, but I’ve just started using Commentluv on my sites, and I’ve never noticed any problems with it (nor was I aware that it could go down… the plugin is fairly straight-forward… you upload it and let it run.) I’ll have to keep an eye on this, in case it acts up on one of my sites.

@Joan, Welcome to the community Joan!
It rarely has issues, but when it does Andy is all over it in a flash.
