Have You Met Garry Conn?
Seriously, have you? You may have and not even realized it since he has multiple (m u l t i p l e) niche blogs around the sphere, but I’ll get to that in a bit.
I’ve been wanting to write a little something about Garry pretty much since I “met” him a couple months ago, but never more then when he shocked the living hell outa me on December 6th. No shit, I nearly fell outa my chair when I saw that headline in my emal. LOL
Anyhoo, if you’re even the slightest bit interested in MMO (making money online) AT ALL, then his personal blog and especially his newsletter is a MUST (this is where he gives away his very best stuff for FREE).
His main focus appears to be Adsense, with a healthy dosage of affiliate marketing thrown in for good measure, and he makes a considerable living at it all. Not to mention, he is one that truly wants to help others do the same…..not some guru faking love, he is the real deal.
I know what you’re thinking, “Ewww Adsense??!?!?!?”. Yea, I triple dog dare ya to take his advice, put it to work, and NOT make money. Have I? Not yet. Like I said, I found him a couple months ago, and I’m a little slower then most. LOL.
I too gave up on adsense a long time ago. Not because I wasn’t making any money; I did OK for the brief time I used it…..mainly due to the fact that I got tired of Google changing their TOS more then I change my shorts. It just didn’t seem worth the hassle (some of it is just down-right weird).
I’ve already mentioned on this blog, that I just started monetizing slowly…..’09 will see that boost for sure. I sure hope Garry cleans his email, turns on his messengers and leaves his ringer on before then
.
I don’t know if I’ll ever Adsense this blog, but with Garry’s personal help, I’m definitely planning a niche blog or two. Did I mention he’s easily accessible?
He does of course sell some products; even I’ve bought a couple. (Still working through them; slow remember?) Don’t take my word for anything on how well they work, just read through the comments on any number of his posts.
Can you believe he found this domain name?? This is Garry latest “public” project. Is it a blog? Is it a forum? Well, it’s a little of both! Anything/Everything you’d ever want to ask or answer regarding Blogging, can be done right there.
At the top of the home page you read, “This is a community driven blog where you can find answers and ask questions related to blogging. Register For A Free Account and then Post Your Question live on the blog. Don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS Feed or get updates by email. You can also check for news and updates by visiting our Announcements section.“
This is for everyone from the newbie who doesn’t even have a blog yet, to the expert looking for a place to spotlight some knowledge. Speaking of the spotlight, Garry knows how to share the love…check out the heading on the sidebar, “Top Pro Bloggers”. Not to mention what happens after you hit 100+ comments - Notice anything really cool in my post?
I’m no blogging pro expert guru or nuthin, but I think it’s really cool. LOL
Register for free, subscribe to the full feed, and ask or answer to your hearts delight! I suggest doing both
.
Dennis
Note 1: For the beginners out there that LOVE the theme to BQ and want one of your very own; please know that Garry has put in…..lets just say A LOT…..of code tweaking to get it that way.
Note 2: This was not a paid review. I have indeed wanted to write about him for a while, to give something back for help he has given me. A little extra flame might have ignited due to his awesome little Christmas giveaway

Dude, you deserve to have a post on every blog. Seriously I haven’t seen any one person on sooooo many blogs. Shit, you even managed to comment on my new blog.
Anyway, well deserved, I think.
p.s. I read all the comments at Gary’s site and I would sooo buy a book from you about commenting.

Carla - I’m glad it helped! Garry is definitely my go to guy for almost anything MMO.

Ardit - LOL thanks for all the kind words! This article is all about Garry though, so if you’re looking for any advice on making money online definitely follow him around!
I do have to seriously consider writing that book though.

Garry is great. He is accessible and helps others in the blogging community. He’s fantastic at what he does. There should be more like him, as he helps so many others.
Wow, I read about you over in Garry’s blog, Dennis. Your fantastic also! The fact that you comment in other’s blogs is great. Many today say they just don’t “have the time.” If you do, they do. Unless they have an exceptional reason not to. You have encouraged me to start reciprocating comments again, one for one, like I used to. It will be kind of hard, as my husband had two cancers and a bone marrow transplant three years ago, and we spend many days and nights at the hospital. However, when I am at home, I could comment more. So you have encouraged me. Thank you!

Thanks Krissy, and you’re very welcome!
It amazes me how many of those that “don’t have time” are the same ones that rant about having no visitors/commenters on their own blogs…ya gotta give to receive.
I’m really sorry to hear about your husband, and hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

I have heard of Gary Conn before. Apparently he has some books out as well etc. I’ll go ahead and take a closer look. Thanks Dennis.

Hey Dennis,
I’ve known Garry for almost 3 years now, and consider him one of my best friends. I’ve learned so much from this guy, and have managed to achieve things I never thought I could. Plus, the coolest thing about Garry is that he’s just a normal guy, not one of those “I know more than you” types. He’ll tell you like it is, no bones about it.
This is a cool piece and I think everyone should stop by and check out Garry’s blogs. If he can teach an old dog like me, he can teach anyone to make money online.

Hey Christine! I was wondering if your radar was gonna go off
.
I haven’t known him that long; hardly at all compared to you and others, and he has STILL helped me in several ways already.
It’s awesome to see you here btw, are you a subscriber or just stumbled across it? If you are a subscriber, check out the following post and leave me your details

Gary Conn is a GREAT resource for beginning bloggers! And his bloggingquestions.com blog is definitely a great resource for anyone with blogging questions!
And yes - I went “I know him” (just like Will Ferrell says in Elf) when Gary blogged about you!

Thanks Yan.
I do find your comment ironic though, considering how one feels about the other…..but I won’t get into that here.
December 26th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
I’m aware of it, Dennis. It adds more spice to the learning experience, doesn’t it?
Oh, by the way, I don’t even try to find out how a guy could make 120K from adsense…if you know what I mean.

hey Dennis,
In your post, you wrote: “[he's] not some guru faking love, he is the real deal.”
What are you saying! Are you accusing us other gurus of “fake love”??? Them’s fighting words!

Garry gives crazy amounts of free info that actually can help you make $$. The cool thing about the posts I’ve seen over there that are on “how to make money” is that they aren’t vague. He’ll actually lay it all out for you, in a no fluff, step by step process. Awesome for noobs and even seasoned peeps can pick up a tip or two from his posts.
And….you DO seem to be everywhere. It’s kinda scary actually.
Cheers man!
