How I Publish Guest Posts
I’m asking for guest posts, and receiving them…y’all got some good stuff coming up
. However, it seems I was a little lax in communication as to exactly how and when I publish guest posts; sorry about that, I should have added it to my guest bloggers page.
1. I publish guest posts in the order I receive them; first in first out unless I have two back to back on the same subject.
2. I don’t usually like to publish guest posts back to back to back; if possible I like to add at least one of my own in between each one. Under the current circumstance though this may not be possible; I specifically asked for guests so I could get other work done. You don’t need to hear my bitching though lol.
3. I like to give some space (2-3 days or so) between posts for promotion of each post; more or less depending on circumstances.
That’s basically it. No worries, I notify each guest as soon as it’s published so you can be ready to reply to comments as necessary.
I hope this clears things up and continue sending in those original articles!
Dennis

Dennis,
Just curious, how many guest posts did you receive? Also do you follow strictly to the rules you laid down. I’m asking as I’m also seeking out guest posts on my blog.

@Peter@passive income ideas,
I have 6 so far including the one already published; care to send one in?
My rules are really just common sense guidelines put on paper, so to speak. I follow them closely, but outside requests are taken on a case by case basis if necessary.
April 5th, 2009 at 12:56 am
I think your posting order makes sense… wanting to make sure there are articles by you in between. Plus, not posting them all at once, you always have content in your arsenal when you need it.

Just wanted to let you know I’m seriously considering doing a guest post. As usual, I’m probably too busy to even be thinking that, but nothing makes me happier than to be too busy… I’ll keep you posted. Any subjects you looking for specifically, or topics that you don’t have a lot of material on?

Affiliate marketing and Social networking are currently my two weakest areas; anything else is ok though as long as it’s original and written with the beginner in mind….shoot me an email with ideas when you’re ready.

@Dennis Edell, Thanks for responding, D. I’ll think on that. I don’t have much in either of those areas, probably stronger in the Social than the other. I’ll get back to you.

I support your guest post policy. It’s your blog, you get to decide the rules. Up to the guest poster to either comply or not.

That’s a sensible process for publishing guest posts do you notify publishers who send in guest posts of an approximation on how long its likely to be before their post is published or just when the post goes live? Also do you have a list of topics you are interested in having covered or can it be any article web related.
Dennis Edell Reply:

@khaled,
If I have an approximate time, I’ll provide it.
As I said to Matty above, Affiliate marketing and Social networking are currently my two weakest areas; anything else is ok though as long as it’s original and written with the beginner in mind….shoot me an email with ideas when you’re ready if you wish to guest.

Good to know my not sending you one right away is not going to be an issue. As soon as I find a new way to cover my minimal overhead and get a little further into launching the NoBogies blog I’ll be back around more often.
I am reaching many bloggers but haven’t found the right way to reach the small businesses that could really use what I know to increase their sales. If anyone knows of good blogs for that do please let me know?
I will make the time to be out to answer all the comment answers all over the blogosphere just as soon as I can. I’m saying that here because I know most of the blogs I visit read Dennis’ blog.

i totally understand where your coming from because by using a guest post back to back changes the tone of your blog which than makes it seem as if you’ve abandoned your blog which thus leads to lost blog readers i’m assuming this is what you mean
the thing is guest posting is good and all but how do you know if the person that claims a guest post is going to enjoy the post that the person has written
well thats still a busy schedule you got there especially brainstorming a couple guests posts

@almir, The blogger doesn’t have to accept any guest post that he or she doesn’t like for whatever reason.
The good thing about guest posts is there really isn’t much brainstorming to do.
