  • I’m Alive! It’s Good To Be Back, But It Will Take Some Time…

Hello everyone, yep it’s me. Here it is in a nutshell…..approximately 6pm June 8th I was rushed to the hospital with what can only be described as a dead leg. By 11:30 I was in surgery for the removal of a mass of blood clots. I was told I was quite close to losing the leg altogether. Two days later, I was in surgery yet again for Compartment Syndrome.

This is where they had to “fillet” my leg. (Actual term used by surgeon.)

Approximately June 16th I was transferred to a physical rehab center, where I stayed until this past Friday when I returned home.

Anyhoo, here I am ready to jump back into action. I have a considerable amount of work to do (online and with the leg) before I can get back into the full swing as they say, but I will do what I can, when I can.

Respond to comments - sorry for the flood some of you received, I approved about 150 all at once.

Email - Lots to do. Sorry to anyone that experienced bounce back, it filled up pretty fast.

Blog updating - It will be some time before I get back to regular posting; I’ll actually be moving blogs around to perfect my branding practice.

Monthly comment contests - Postponed indefinitely, possibly the rest of the year. I will however finish contacting winners and sponsors for the May contest as soon as I can.

    ————————————————-

You have my word that when I do return in full mode it will be with a BANG! I have so much in store for evryone that I couldn’t even begin to get into it now ;) .

Thank you all for understanding and sticking with me, and a huge welcome to all the newcommers while I was away…..stick around, it’ll be fun; email me anytime :) .

    Dennis

I’ glad you are ok. Any time you are dealing with blood clots, that’s serious business. You are probably fortunate to still be here, much less back at work.

A blood clot anywhere, even the leg, scares the crap out of me.

Anyway, it’s good to have new posts to read. Glad you are back.

Things like these make you think about whats really important in life. The guy accross the street from me almost lost his 11 year old son to much the same thing. Makes you think….

    44. Megan - YourNetBiz Says:

Wow, that sounds very scary. My aunt had something similiar but her clot traveled from her legs to multiple spots in her lungs. Thankfully like you she is going to be fine.

I have some health problems, the key and it isn’t fun, is to listen to your body and rest when it calls to rest. Take care of yourself first, thats the beauty of being online is it will be here when you are ready to be back full swing

Take care of yourself and wishing you a speedy recovery

    45. Michael Tunstill Says:

Wow,that’s terrible. I had something similar as a result of falling through a glass door. I was stitched-up but there was an artery leaking and the pressure swelled my leg up and make it go numb. They had to cut my leg open and tie off the artery. Ended up with a bit of nerve damage, but eventually things healed well. Took at least 6 weeks before I could walk without crutches. What a business!
