I’m Unsubscribing from Your Blog - Don’t Panic!
A fast post today aimed at those that go the extra mile to track who subscribes and unsubscribes to their blog via email (I don’t une feed readers). I will be unsubscribing from all blogs and resubscribing under a different address…most anyway.
This all has to do with keeping vigilant in streamlining my blog commenting strategy. I wrote about this once before and it hasn’t worked out too well recently, all due to Yahoo’s “customer care” being non-existent.
Long story short, if you have your Feedburner account set to notify of email unsubscribes (which you should!), don’t panic; there’s a good chance I immediately resubscribed under a different address…it does not notify you of this.
That’s the FYI for today!
Dennis

I thought you are going the twitter unfollow way and rebuild your subscription profile. I switch from email subscription to reader subscriptions many times.

@Jeet, Some I may not resubscribe too, yes.
I’ve never used readers though, and don’t plan too; hate them.

Ah, now my panic has abated a little bit. It made me realize I haven’t had an email unsubscribe in a long time, which I’m quite thankful for. And a reminder I still owe you a guest post, which I have at a halfway point now. It’s a bit different from what I’ve written, but I think (hope) you’ll like it.

Yes Dennis I see you commenting on a massive number of blogs. You must have a lot of blog subscriptions to manage. It is good that you gave people the heads about why you unsubscribed. Do you use any other link building strategies besides blog commenting?

@Jeremy @ Cash Back Cards,
Oh don’t jump the gun now.
Many of my personal link building strategies are to come, including an entire newsletter devoted to just that topic…..stay tuned!

Few months back I also created an email ID only for reading blog feed. But I didn’t get time to log into it and read then. So I decided to subscribe to only few blogs with my personal ID which I open and read daily.

@Typhoon, I don’t give myself a choice. Although everything has it’s own ID, they all come into the same place…right in front of me.

Yes … it can be quite overwhelming to keep up with all of the great blogs out there and getting them organized.
I look forward to your link building strategies

That’s a relief Dennis. It’s funny how most unsubscribes mean nothing and certain names come across and it bothers us. I was considering changing my notification alerts so I wouldn’t see them any more. I’m glad you’re still going to visit
