New Feature! Monthly Post Round-Ups For Direct Sales Web Marketing
Welcome to D.S.W.M., where Direct Sales meets Online Marketing. We cover it all, and in *Plain English*. Like what you see? We offer Full Feed updates.
First, sincerest apologies for not posting in about a week. I’m still hard at work on that blog project I’ve spoken about. I’m hoping to be able to announce/launch it next week…it’s lookin’ good so far
Now then, a brand new feature here starting this coming Monday, the 30th. At the beginning/end of each month I will be recapping each and every post from the previous month (or at least the best ones) with a link and small caption.
This is a little different then most of the other “link round-up” posts I see, as this is all internal. A good bunch of the ones I see are all external, wherein bloggers give the love and link-out to the posts they come across on other blogs. Also an excellent practice, which I’ll get more into another time.
Why is this something all Bloggers should consider? Just a few ideas (in no real particular order)…..
1. Give new readers an easy way to peruse at least one months worth of your content with no search.
2. Give older readers an easy chance to take a 2nd or even 3rd look at some of your good stuff.
3. Boost your comments - every smart blogger loves insightful comments. It builds content, shows different perspectives on a single topic, and one of the best ways to meet like minded people.
If you share the love with Wordpress plugins (Do-Follow, CommentLuv, Top Commenter, etc) it’s all the better.
4. Traffic - posts like these tend to get passed around, especially among newer bloggers.
5. SEO - whoa momma, we’re talkin’ some serious internal linking here! Very VERY important for good SEO practices. You probably don’t want too much too fast though, which is why I only recommend this type of post once per month (ish).
I’m sure my buddy Breakaway over at the Link Building Bible would appreciate this. He runs the second best Blog I know of for Link Building Strategies.
Can you tell me other good reasons for this type of post? Let me know below!
To our mutual success!
Dennis
