PLEASE COMMENT - Have You EVER Used The Added Feature Of My Subscribe To Comments Plugin??
The next post will have the results from the last post.
OK, I currently have 300+ subscribers to this blog and however many readers from the outside. I would like as many comments to this post as possible, even if you never commented before and may never again…it’s that important
.
I am moving as quickly and diligently as possible to get the new DennisEdell.com/DSWM to open. I have installed the new, albeit bare, theme and am now installing plugins.
Now, if you’ve ever installed a plugin, you know that within a week of release there’s at least a dozen or more alternatives to the same damn thing. Being a certified (or is that certifiable?) plugin junkie, I spend a considerable amount of time choosing the best possible “version” to each one.
I LOVE my current subscribe-to-comments plugin for a cool extra feature it provides…it enables the visitor to subscribe to comments WITHOUT having to leave a comment first. A very handy dandy feature for those shy or busy readers that want to keep tabs on the comments before leaving their own, don’t-cha think?
Well for one reason or another, be it the new theme or the new version of WP or whatever, this plugin is now glitching. It’s a minor glitch and one we’ve all seen before, where the tick box is 10 feet to the side of where it should be…..minor but irritating; irritating to all hell for some of us.
I knew something was bound to go wrong, when I was informed the new WP 2.9 needs two plugins to make this one plugin work. Gotta love it when that happens, but I digress…
Sooooo I ask you, have you ever taken advantage of this feature? Would you like it to be available to you? If the response is a resounding NO, then screw it, I’ll search for a plugin that doesn’t glitch. If YES, then I’ll either deal with it, or try to find the glitch and fix it.
The fate of this cool plugin resides in your hands, what say you?
Some sharing of this post would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve only ever subscribed to a post where I was interested enough to leave a reply. If the post wasn’t good enough for that I’ve never bothered to subscribe.
In other words Dennis, if you were to ditch the plugin it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.
Happy new year.

I’ve seen the option on many blogs but never considered using it. What’s the point really, don’t we subscribe to comments mainly to see what response we generated with our comments? To be frank with you, I’ve seen less than 1% of the blogs I visit use that feature. Note, blogs and NOT news sites. I would say ditch it as it just isn’t worth it. This isn’t because everyone else isn’t using it, but if the mass doesn’t use it, you know that it isn’t something that is required.

@Dennis Edell, As I told you, all your comment automatically put into my spam box, I’m quiet sure you are in blacklist. You should ask other webmaster to confirm it. If they confirm this issue then you should contact Akismet team - http://akismet.com/contact/ You can read an example note here - http://azeemkhan.info/2008/how-to-get-off-of-akismet-blacklist/ Hope this will clear everything to you. Akismet don’t like post link on URL field and you do it regularly and that’s the reason for this blocking. Take the necessary steps buddy.

@Dennis Edell, I just have an advice for you, you should stop your old practice if you don’t want to go spam box directly. Blogger usually don’t love such practice so as Akismet. Use your home page URL from now and I hope within a month they will lift that spam tag from your site.
