I read a great email a while back. It gave an awesome idea of how to take advantage of those certain emails that we all get 20 a day of, mostly jokes.
You know when you scroll down to the bottom of some emails, you’ll often see a link to HotMail, Yahoo or whoever the webmail provider is? Basically any free email provider will have their ad at the bottom of outgoing emails, right?
Wouldn’t it be cool to have your link there?
It would be fantastic!
Of course, how useful this technique is really does depend on your niche, but as long as you’ve got a fairly wide appeal - I can’t see a reason why you should pass up this opportunity to get your link in front of some prospective customers.
So the next time you get one of those emails, edit the link at the bottom and include a resource box with your ad in. Make sure you use a tracking link so you can see exactly how effective it is, and then send on the email to all your friends.
Then, just sit back and watch the viral traffic roll in!
I definitely want to know if you try this and how well it works for you; enjoy!
To our mutual success!
Dennis

Sounds like quite a good idea, especially if the e-mail becomes quite popular and does the rounds.
The only problem is I’m too lazy to forward those type of e-mails! Even if it means I don’t get to see the special hidden Microsoft menu after I do it!

LOL so true.
I know what you mean about being lazy or not enough time, but this is something that could actually be worked into a plan.
If you get a decent amount of forwardable emails, just make a folder for them; then maybe once or twice a week, send them on

I’m definitely gonna give this a go in the coming weeks. If it gets some good results I’ll post about it and let you know the outcome.
Now, I just need to be more social in order to get sent more e-mails!

Definitely let me know how this works out!

the easiest thing to do is make a signature, and set it to apply to all the emails
just delete the ones that yahoo, msn ect use
but am I the only one who finds the ones that yahoo puts in annoying???

Dang Coozies, I could swear I responded to this. Sorry!
I totally agree with you on the Yahoo BS. Their way of trying to get people to upgrade I suppose.

This can be very effective. Three years ago when I started my Trinkies Charms business. I went searching for jokes and funny pictures, anything I knew was funny enough that someone would forward it and I of course put my siggy (cool lookin’ banner included) on everyone of them.
With no money at the time to advertise my site, this was one of the best things I did for it and the response was amazing.
