Do You Have Blank Blog Advertisement Slots?

Nope sorry, I’m not looking to buy one. I’m here to give you the awesome advice that was given to me when I first started blogging…..get rid of them NOW.

I’m sure you’ve seen it, you may even do it yourself (and some of you I know do it). Those blogs that have anywhere between two and TEN 125×125 ad spots that simply say, “ADVERTISE HERE“, right out there for the world to see. I’ve even seen some use FLASH!

    Aye Curumba.

Do you know how it looks to potential advertisers? BAD. Real bad. Amateurish in the least, but D-E-S-P-E-R-A-T-E at it’s worst. I’m not saying this to make anyone upset or angry with me, this is the honest to goodness truth as told to me those many moons ago. They are not doing you any good.

This is definitely one thing that falls under whether or not advertisers judge your design.

Your Link Just Got MORE Valuable!

Two new posts on DennisEdell.com, an EASY $300 contest on EasyCashContests.com and I’m still looking for contest sponsors here ;) .

You may recall back in mid-October, I wrote about how I was finally and slowly beginning to Blog Monetize, with the Scratch Back widget. When I first installed it, I had the “awesome idea” of charging $5 per week instead of the “auto bump” method which I HATE (read first link to see why).

Things have been pretty emotional (for lack of a better word) for me since then…

I had my first link sale in ONLY two weeks, and I was ECSTATIC! Trust me, when you don’t have Lynn Terry type traffic, two weeks is really good. (I’ve never seen her widget with an empty spot.)

Then a couple weeks later (with no more link sales) I had a good back & forth with both John Dilbeck & Mitch on Johns blog; or was it Mitch’s blog. Perhaps both, I don’t remember.

6 Days Since Last Post: Lots Of Updates!

update.jpgHello all, it’s been about a week since my last post where I discussed merging blogs.

At the tail end of that post, I hinted to the fact that I would have to spend a little time playing catch-up from my sudden 2month disappearance.

Well here we are. I’ve been home a little over 2 weeks and madly catching up. I think I’ve done well so far with lots of internal touch-ups complete (you may or may not notice those), and three new pages I needed to do!

I’m still not “done” (are we ever?) but going along reasonably smoothly.

Now it’s those three new pages I would like to point your attention too…

    1. Wanna buy a review? I charge a reasonable wage (with a perk for subscribers) and always work my butt off on each one to make sure it’s done well. Check out the Review Policy.

Guest Posts Wanted: Affiliate Marketing and Social Networking

Hey everyone, a short and pointed post today. This is also a first for me; I’m looking for guest posters! Affiliate Marketers and Social Networkers please apply :-)

I may eventually be looking in other areas as well, but for now, just these two topics. The criteria for approval is a simple 3 step…

    1. Know your stuff.

    2. Be able to *speak it* in Plain English.

    3. Original Content. This means written by YOU (I take copyright infringements very serious) and unpublished elsewhere.

Remember, we’re all about Beginner Marketing Tips here. :) If you can get your point across with as little “geek speak” as humanly possible, then you’re perfect!

You’ll receive 2 links (before and after post) and as much exposure as possible, initially and archive.

There is one thing I ask in return, it is optional but strongly encouraged…..
