Ah eBay. Hundreds of thousands of people buying and selling on a daily basis.

Everything from emptying the junk from the basement, to quite a few making full time incomes; some very high incomes.

But, did y’all know that many of the people who make money FROM eBay don’t actually make all of that money ON eBay?

Yep, you read that right. There are all sorts of ways you can use eBay to give your existing businesses a boost!

Supply: If you have any leftover stock or used items from another business you run, then why not sell them on eBay?

You can make this a regular thing, using it to get rid of things that won’t sell for the premium you ask for in a shop, or items that are no longer in demand in the town or city where your business is based.

In the past few years, I have watched many social bookmarking sites grow and have huge effects on the internet. Many people don’t realize that they can use these sites to promote their own sites and get vast returns. Below are benefits that I have seen these sites have on other websites.

Social bookmarking sites can give your site an instant traffic boost. Getting one link of homepages of digg, StumbleUpon, del.icio.us or any other bookmarking site can give me huge traffic boosts.

Most traffic will be targeted since your post will be under specific categories and you can attach keywords to your posts.

As you may have guessed, this article is in regards to linking and primarily which is the best *code* to use when doing so.

Should you have it open in the same window…effectively drawing people away from your site…or a new window…leaving the original one in tact for the reader to go back too.

This thought popped into my head while reading a post by Lynn Terry, entitled Stop Linking To Your Home Page!

This is all about internal or deep-linking as it’s called. The act of linking to pages within your blog from outside sources OR from within the blog itself, as I did here in the first sentence.

We will get a lot more into the workings of internal deep-linking in the days to come, as it is VERY important for SEO. For our purposes here though, we will stick to one specific aspect - Same window/New window, how do visitors prefer they open.

eBay sellers have longed to be able to link away from auctions to websites…now they just may. If eBay is in your marketing plan, or even if it’s not you’ll want to see this…it will be! LOL

One of eBays biggest “NO NO’S” (if not THE biggest), is that you’re not allowed to place links to outside sites/products within a live auction. This still remains very true…for the most part.

However, eBay expert Dave Guindon recently discovered a huge loophole right in eBay’s own help documents that allow eBay sellers to add clickable links to any auction that leads to any website outside of eBay.

He made a very neat little video showing you the method, step by step. If you’re an eBay seller, big or small, or even plan to be; then you must watch this video. It could double, triple or even quadruple your profits.

You need incoming links! They shout. And it’s true, you do and lots of them. But what they weren’t shouting until recently is that you should have a fair mount of outgoing links also…

You’d be really surprised if you knew how many online marketers either don’t know, or completely ignore the “simple” fact, that if you want your website to have lots and lots of traffic, you need LINKS. Both incoming AND outgoing; yes that’s right, I said OUTGOING.

And that’s what this tip is based on…

There are two different ways to accomplish outgoing links, a good way and a better way.

If you simply reference someone else’s blog in your post and link to it, you won’t do your traffic size much good. You won’t do it any harm either though and you will in fact help your site some.
