Are You Committing These 3 Articles Marketing Mistakes?

The following is a guest post from Ben Pei at Peiprofit.com, where he teaches how to make money blogging. I waited for Ben to finish active duty to hopefully respond to comments directly ;) .

To all bloggers out there, now is the time to start getting those creative writing skills back.

With modern advanced technology in communication comes the popularity of info-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is why article writing, submissions and publications are also getting popular.

There are already many platforms and services that people can use to make the process of distributing their articles more easily. Though this is invaluable in getting the contents more exposure, which is only half of the story.

Are you making one of these common mistakes that most people do before submitting their contents to article directories?

Is Your Online Reputation Solid? I hope so, It’s All You Have.

This isn’t going to be another Real name vs. Pen name post, although it surely fits as we pointed out.

(Feel free to leave thoughts there as well; it’s an interesting conversation.)

Basically, when all is said and done, most people create an online business for one purpose - to make money online. Some want to make a few extra bucks, others want to make a full-time income.

But regardless of everyones individual goals, I think you will agree that we all want to make additional income from our online businesses.

In order to do this you need to sell.

Whether it’s a product, a service or just to get someone to take a desired action - it’s all about being able to sell whatever it is your promoting.

Do You Leverage Your Competition Whenever You Can?

Leverage - Positional advantage; power to act effectively. Source.

One of the best things you can do for any sales type business (physical or digital) is to gain leverage off your competition.

Some call it sneaky (which it somewhat is), but as long as you stay above board, it’s perfectly legal and an excellent marketing strategy.

One particular golden nugget you can achieve here is instant follow-up ideas for any product you are promoting:

Pick a product, any product you wish to promote. Search for that particular product you’re promoting on Google and find the other
    successful marketers who promote it.

Next you simply join their list, whether it be email or postal and check out their particular follow-up system. See what they do, offer and say about the product,

Guest Post: DaBlogger Tells His Experiences with Social Bookmarking

The following guest post is from Andy, who writes for and manages DaBlogger.com. What I like most is the fact that he writes it all from Personal Experience as you will see. This is after all, the best way to write an article when applicable :) .

In the past few years, I have watched many social bookmarking sites grow and have huge effects on the internet. Many people don’t realize that they can use these sites to promote their own sites and get vast returns. Below are benefits that I have seen these sites have on other websites.

    #1 - Instant Traffic
Social bookmarking sites can give your site an instant traffic boost. Getting one link of homepages of digg, StumbleUpon, del.icio.us or any other bookmarking site can give me huge traffic boosts.

Most traffic will be targeted since your post will be under specific categories and you can attach keywords to your posts.

Blogging Tip: Splitting Categories for Better Usability

split categoriesA short post today but with a bullet! In regards to splitting categories when necessary.

Perhaps it was laziness, I dunno. When I first started categorizing this blog I had “Traffic & Promotion” as one category.

Well, they DO go hand-in-hand don’t they?

    Yes & No.

Here’s how I see it - all promotion is meant to bring traffic. But, not all traffic is a result of promotion…..at least not “direct promotion“.

Do you see it? Think about it.

The more I market and blog, the more I see differences, sometimes vast differences in traffic strategies and promotion techniques.

This also mean that it makes good “user-friendly” sense, to separate the two for readers. Let us never forget, without readers, we’re just talking to ourselves ;).

You don’t want too many categories, but you don’t want separate issues all clumped together either. That just leads to frustration and the dreaded backspacing right off your site.

Online Free Classifieds - Are They Worth It?

free classified adsfree classified adsI found the following in an old email, added a lot of my own input and thought it was pretty good. As with any free promotion though, be careful and concise. It may be free but can cost you countless amounts of time and energy if you’re not aware…

Online free classified sites offer a risk free, no cost solution to promote your businesses and sell products and services. Advertising in free classified sites can be time consuming and frustrating if you do not know how to successfully profit from these sites.

Knowing the right tricks and tips of online free classified ads will separate you from the hundreds who post thousands of ads without getting any results.

All free classified sites are not created equal. You should focus on a few good sites and post your ads regularly in those sites only. Your starting point is Google search. Go to http://google.com/ and search for “free classifieds” and “free ads“.

Those of you that have been with me since the beginning, know that this blog hasn’t been up all that long. I started 8 months ago in October 2007, although it doesn’t look it.

That may seem like a lifetime to some, but it really isn’t. Especially since I really didn’t start promoting much until the last couple months.
