ATTENTION RSS SUBSCRIBERS! (and everyone else) Testing Testing 1…2…3

Welcome to D.S.W.M., where Direct Sales meets Online Marketing. We cover it all, as elementary as possible because we know you’re new. Got a wish list? Skribit! Like what you see? We offer Full Feed updates.

th_rssfeeds1.jpgth_rssfeeds1.jpgIn my ever vigilant effort to make a clean looking AND user-friendly Blog for everyone here, I am trying one more plugin to try and get the combination of post snippets on-site, while having full feeds go through the feed.

if you recall, I first attempted the Full Feed plugin and it was a disaster. I then thought it would just be best to change the look of the Blog a bit, and publish full posts.

Neither you nor I liked that very much.

When suddenly…..on one of my blog commenting escapades I ran across Colin King, a true geek :-). A great guy, a real swell fella; seriously.

Broken Links = Broken Business. Fix ‘em Fast! I’ll Show You How.

broken_link.gifUGH! Broken links everywhere. Is there anything more annoying to a site owner?!?!? Not only that, but you can easily lose business; perhaps a LOT of business depending on the circumstances.

If it’s a blog you can very easily lose readers if they find too many broken, non working links. Reader loss could quite possibly mean revenue loss, both in the present AND future…most will never return

Think especially of new readers full of hope, glee and anticipation in finding a new blog in their niche of choice…what a let down. Not to mention how unprofessional it looks, especially if it’s more then 1 or 2 links.

Wondering What Your Readers Want? Let Them Skribit!

Welcome to D.S.W.M., where Direct Sales meets Online Marketing. We cover it all, as elementary as possible because we know you’re new. Got a wish list? Skribit! Like what you see? We offer Full Feed updates.

feedback.jpgfeedback.jpgEvery blogger wants to know the one and only true *secret*. “How do I know what my readers want to read?” The simplest and best way is to just let them tell you.

Learn a very cool, easy and free way to connect with your readers and learn EXACTLY what they want…

It’s called Skribit and allows you very simply to find out exactly what your readers want to read…no magic involved.

It’s an awesome looking tool for gathering and prioritizing the marketing topics you want me to write about here on D.S.W.M.

We Are Officially A FULL FEED RSS! But The Blogs Look Will Change :-)

Welcome to D.S.W.M., where Direct Sales meets Online Marketing. We cover it all, as elementary as possible because we know you’re new. Got a wish list? Skribit! Like what you see? We offer Full Feed updates.

rss full feedrss full feedAs I wrote last, after reading much about how RSS subscribers hate having to click the link to read the full article, and even getting some personal requests for a full feed, I have complied :) After all, it’s all for the readers right? Yes!

After atempting the “full feed plugin” and failing miserably, I contacted Feedburner for some help. Their forum is now closed so I found their new “help” group (sigh) with a plea for help. The response I received was a little less then helpful, “If FeedBurner doesn’t receive your full post, there is no way for it to republish your full post.”

Umm OK, so much for that idea.

ATTENTION RSS SUBSCRIBERS! D.S.W.M. Now Sports A Full Feed!

th_rssfeedyargon.gifAt least I hope we do, that’s where your help comes in. After reading so much about how RSS subscribers hate having to click the link to read the full article, and even getting some personal requests for a full feed, I have complied.

After all, it’s all for the readers right? Yes!

I have installed and activated the full feed plugin. This handy dandy plugin is supposed to overwrite the <<<more>>> feature that Wordpress saw fit to, and show the full feed even if I use it.

Lets see if it works, shall we…
