The $10 Winner And More Good News…..
Hey everyone! Just a brief recap tells you that I will be opening 2 new blogs sometime here and needed assistance choosing domain names.
I wish to now thank everyone that participated; not only did you help me decide, but we did it in the time allotted in order for me to refund the unused names. This was a good thing, since there was 8 refunds to be made 
.
The domains chosen were, dum dum daaaaaaaa - TalkingParanormal.com for my niche blog, and SmallBusinessBlogCoach.com for my blogging blog coming out. (CoachING was taken but this is better anyway.)
The $10 winner is Andrew from WeBuildYourBlog.com, for being the inspiration behind my choosing SBBC, my new blogging domain name. Be sure to pick up his free blogging guide when you visit .
You see, he commented saying, businessblogcoaching.com - “blog coaching” is a good keyword. That was taken, so I went and snagged freebusinessblogcoaching.com; still excellent, but a tad long and it nagged at me a bit.
Laying in bed that night SBBC just popped into my head (gotta love it when that happens, don’t-cha?), and the ‘ol brain started swimming with ideas surrounding it. I still have “blog coach(ing) as KW phrases, and with small business in front, that opens up possible potential markets otherwise not realized. Woohoo!
Also, although he didn’t win extra cash for this, he gave me an awesome tip for my paranormal niche blog. He suggested, RealParanormalStories.com because he mentioned that “Paranormal Stories” was an awesome KW phrase.
However, as others commented and I strongly concur, *short and sweet* is a much noted domain name tip - easily remembered/recognized and all that jazz. So, I figured, HEY! I can go with the cool/short TalkingParanormal.com and still EASILY have the “Paranormal Story(ies)” KW phrase all over the place! Woohoo!
Yep, this is a good day indeed.
Side Note - I give you my word now, I will do my very best to be sure SBBC will NOT be the “same ‘ol same ‘ol” blogging blog that are cluttering up the ‘net. I could possibly even go so far as to turn it into a membership site idea I have; we’ll see 
.
THIS JUST IN - I’m totally blown away right now. As I was writing this post, I was also checking email from Andrew regarding his $10. He responded asking me if I would like to donate it to charity and what my choice would be. Unreal. It’s not a ton of money, but still. I dunno about you, but I have given a bunch of prize money away over the past couple years and this was a first for me!
Good job Andrew and thank you. Seeing as I have a combined 3 Nieces and Nephews with Juvenile Diabetes, that’s exactly where it will go.

I’m interested in blogging and the paranormal, so you might want to start collecting names, like a prelaunch - opt-in form using Aweber so you have instant readership when your site launches.
Or design a separate contact form and add it to the bottom of this post. The first option costs money but may pay off in the end and the second option is free but will give you an instant audience to approach and eventually get them to become subscribers by giving great content on your new site.

Thanks Holly, I really appreciate the kind words. I have some other niche stuff in mind that will include that charity as well as others. If you’re interested in that sorta thing, keep in touch; I may have some JV opportunities opening up.

Andrew shows real talent at selecting domain names. I wish he would get an Avatar so I can pick out his comments here more easily. Congratulations Andrew and kudos for donating the money to charity.
While I’m here I want to mention the post I put in CommentLuv for this comment. Every blogger really needs to read AND DO what it explains and share that information with other bloggers who write about them.
I know many bloggers don’t think they even have a “market” but they do: the readers they hope to reach. First you have to figure out who they are and then you must make sure YOUR blog gets found when they do searches for what your blog covers.

I have been, and now I have finally redesigned my blog and launched a great new theme and of course the threaded comments plugin got messed up and now won’t show the submit reply button, fun fun fun! Spent all day can’t figure the problem, damn it!

Thank you, I liked it. None of the above, just a free nice theme I found, it’s Simple Red Wordpress Theme, if you Google it, it comes up as the first result.
Tweaked it some to my liking, took a while to get it right. But now I lost the threaded comments, at least till I can figure out how to fix it.
