@John Collins, luckily when notified of a reply, the link in the comments area of the admin takes me to the exact comment.

I don’t really agree or disagree lol. I just don’t see why it would be a bother. More to the point, why one would bother removing them. But that’s me.

I kind of like the numbering. If you know your comment is number 14 and you’re notified of a reply it’s easy to locate. As are all the other top level comments. Easier to pick out the start point of each one if you’re quickly scrolling down the page.

At the top of the comments it says 80 Responses (at this moment) and I see by the mentioned numbering there is 19 comments. If the numbering was removed I’d have to do a manual count to see how many top level comments were actually made.

@Dennis Edell, It is most likely in the theme code somewhere, but as far as not wanting to poke around and find it, that’s your choice. It really isn’t a terribly major issue but rather a suggestion that Shirley made and I agreed with
Nick´s last blog post..I will be beta testing Windows 7
