January Top Comment Winners! February Contest Canceled…

Part 1: January Winners!
OK as I mentioned several times, I cut off the contest around 10pm when I logged off. As I feared, it does simply reset with no tracking thereafter. In the future, I may use a database trick that Nick showed me, modifying a query showed here. This should return an accurate count right up to midnight…in case anyone slips in 
.
I say may because messing with databases, querys, SQL, and all that nifty jazz is never on top of my to-do lists. LOL
Anyhoo without further ado (does anyone really know how to spell that??)…

Part 2: February Top Commenter Contest Canceled
I don’t mean to put a damper on the festivities, but as they say it’s better to realize issues sooner then later. Oh my, have I realized a truckload! (Ever see those triple-trailer trucks?)
As I stated before you should be on the lookout for further posts regarding comments on this blog; both generally speaking (revisions to the comment policy) and specifically related to the contests (a whole separate page coming soon).
I REALLY do not want to kill the contests altogether. Not only have I already taken them further then any TC contest I’ve seen before (have you seen them sponsored?), but there’s more coming! BIG stuff folks, no shit.

Contest or no I will keep visiting and would love to keep commenting. So I have a question regarding item #4 of your comment policy.
The first time I came across your blog I did not leave comments because I am no longer willing to use my “real” name online for reasons that I elaborate in the comments of the blog post I have linked to this comment (above).
I use Internet Strategist as my “name” online wherever I go although some comment functions pull GrowMap from my blog instead. They are the only two ways I am known online.
I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring your policy and do realize that Internet Strategist could be considered a keyword phrase. I also do not want to create a precedent that will cause you to have issues with other commentators.
Please let me know if you would prefer I use GrowMap or a pseudonym instead of Internet Strategist. I can also refrain from commenting if necessary and will still visit and share your posts elsewhere.

As an internet marketer we visit hundreds of blogs a month. You seldom see where the blogs writer follows the conversation which defeats the basic premise of the blog which is to develop a conversation.
