Funny… You know, deleting your account might mean that you will permanently loose your Twitter ID. Or perhaps you want a new name as well?

Sorry to hear that. I only know of people having issues when they reached the 2000 max followers. Anyway, tell us in your post.

“Delete Account” is at the very bottom of the profile page, or settings page I don’t recall. If you ever do it, be sure to read the warnings that popup first.

Hey Dennis,
Glad to know there is 1 less stalker on Twitter. LOL!
I do see others that after getting over the idea that you need mass followers have deleted their accounts & started over with more of a target.
I have a few things I watch for to decide if I am going to follow them. It’s not just about the numbers!
Let us know when you come back on Twitter & we will check you out.

You’re sounding a little high and mighty man. I thought Twitter deleted your account, as that does happen.

@The Almost Millionaire, Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to your name in the name field.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up on twitter deleting accounts; I wasn’t aware that they do that…is it known spammers or at their will when they feel like it?
The Almost Millionaire Reply:
February 17th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
@Dennis Edell, As far as I know they are only deleting accounts they believe are being used inappropriatly.
Do you only want first names in the name field? I’m Brandon, but I’ve been going by TAM for some time now. Hoping to be The Almost Billionaire (TAB) at some point though, You never know…dream big, right?

@The Almost Millionaire, Makes ya wonder what they consider inappropriate, don’t it? In my short stint I ran across more then a few that really shouldn’t be active.
Anyhoo, Brandon - TAM or TAM - Brandon are both acceptable…as long as your name is there somewhere.

Recently started Twitter. It’s better than I expected with the character limit and the number of people to follow or vice versa. Still wondering if this is a fad or will be long-term. I tend to think it may last awhile as it caters to the ego a bit with the followers deal

@Gennaro, not only does it cater to the ego, it also caters to a whole generation of people who are always connected via their cell phone, blackberry, etc.
