Hey Dennis!
Google’s PR updates aren’t on a strict schedule but I think we’re due for one soon.
Check out the link below (not my site) that shows a list of past updates…

I’m more interested in when the “Caffeine Update” becomes live on Google, since THAT has a direct effect on SERP. Page Rank has almost NO EFFECT on the organic search results……unless your niche is highly competitive!

@Sacramento Weddings,
I completely agree. I’ve tried it and it looks like they have done a lot of tweaking on their algo. For anyone who wants to see how their site rank for certain keywords on Caffeine, you can test it here: http://www2.sandbox.google.com/

Great question here, google is always changing their PR system. In this case, Pagerank updates are aprox. once every three months. Monitor your last update date, and you’ll see the APROX. next update date.

@Best SEO Marketing Solutions, Welcome to the community!
This I knew, unfortunately I just couldn’t recall when the last one was.

No one knows when this happens, only if you are working on google or have a friend on.

@Tracy jones, Welcome to the community Tracy!
This is not entirely true. As pointed out above, they do happen every 3 months or so, unfortunately I just couldn’t recall when the last one was.
September 25th, 2009 at 4:05 pm
Google used to update every 3 months I’m not sure but I think the last pr update was July or August need to confirm from other bloggers though.

Don’t know where else to post this, but I was trying to sign up for your RSS feed and I got a ton of error messages and my computer froze up and I couldn’t join the list. Well, that’s okay, I can always just come back and read it for myself.

Looks like Google is taking their time to update the pr ranking, they must have something up their sleeves.

I am interested in this as well. I have been stuck at PR3 for a while - unfortunately, my technorati ranks came down big time of late

Hello, I guess this is as good of a place as any to post and let you know. I tried to subscribe to your RSS feed, but when i clicked it I got an error that said “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING” followed by other gibberish that scrolled off the screen. I had to force the page to stop loading because it locked up my browser. Just thought you might like to know.

What I want to know is how you can find out what your real PR is at the moment? Although the toolbar PR is updated every few months or so, isn’t Google PR updated more regularly than that? And is there a way to view it? Or do we have to wait for the toolbar update to be able to view PR?
October 8th, 2009 at 8:39 am
something happens with Google … probably worth waiting for updates PR

Its very important to know how much traffic is getting to a site. This is only possible PR. As per as my knowledge good update PR thrice in a year or once in every 6 months
October 23rd, 2009 at 6:34 am
Page rank is based on quality backlinks, incoming links, out going links, back links, onpage etc etc. Its numeric value start from 0 to 10. Anyway you provided good info about page rank, SERP(search engine result page)

Hmmm, Google Caffeine, I never heard of it before. Looks like I’ve missed something.
What I would like to see is a good source of dates of the past updates. If we can’t know exactly when a new update is coming it would at least be helpful to know when the last one was.

Google has updated PR for last October. My new site has new PR and the Big Zero has smashed
November 3rd, 2009 at 11:22 am
Yes, we’ve just had a PR update. This one has been long overdue, following on a couple of updates that happened within a month of each other, so let us see if there is some sort of regularity that will now make PageRank updates more predictable!
There is loads of speculation that Google might be looking at doing away with PR altogether, but I feel that seeing as their whole original algorithm is based on the PR concept it will never truly go away, maybe just into “hiding”

@Jaq @ Net Age Web Design, I hope it doesn’t disappear altogether. I for one enjoy seeing the little green bar, whether it’s “worth” anything or not.

We have just had one. I thought this also may be of interest to you, I just watched a video recommended to me which talks about Google Caffeine. This will have a serious impact on anyone doing loocal search. If you just go into youtube and type in Google Caffeine all will be explained.
