  • New Category - Writing Tips

Welcome to D.S.W.M., where Direct Sales meets Online Marketing. We cover it all, as elementary as possible because we know you’re new. Got a wish list? Skribit! Like what you see? We offer Full Feed updates.

Not a professional writer? Neither am I. I’m sure I’ll learn as much as you from what I post here. After all, good writing skills are very important; and not just for “writers.

Some newcomers may be wondering what this has to do with marketing. Perhaps it’s better suited for a freelance writing site? Well, that’s obvious, but it is very well suited here as well.

Take a quick glance at the category list…..Article, Ebook, Email, Ezine, Forum, and even Auction marketing all benefit from good writing skills.

Now, I could go on putting such posts/articles in multiple categories. However, I find myself getting annoyed more and more when I see this done on other blogs, so I figure others must also.

This is where you will find them, please enjoy.

    To our mutual success!
    Dennis

Skribit and others will vote on it as well. Either way I would love to hear from you.

Categorizing properly is tough. But well worth the effort. Writing tips is a good category. Good luck, Dennis!

You are correct, writing is an essential skill if you are marketing online. Sure you can hire someone to do it for you, however most direct sellers can’t afford to when they are just getting started.

Hey Melody, I’m very sorry for the delayed response, I normally reply ASAP. Your comment and 8 others were accidentally caught in the spam filter and I just noticed them. This rarely happens. :-)

I wholeheartedly with you there. To write well is very important and can be quite expensive to outsource, depending on the job.

Especially since I do believe that the largest percentage of Direct Seller are Moms and/or Dads with families to support. On top of the family obligations monetarily speaking, a large percentage of them aren’t in it “full time”, so to speak

I suppose it’s OK in certain circumstances, but personally speaking, I’ve never been a huge fan of hiring writers. It just wouldn’t be “me”, ya know what I mean?

I will be taking good advantage of this category, so tell all your friends! LOL

Hey Luke, don’t I know it! I spent half a day or more chopping down and “tightening” my categories.

I was so intent on making it as “simple” as possible for a reader to find what they wanted, I had 30-40 individual categories :-)

    5. Luke Says:

Glad you got the spam filter figured out — this isn’t the first time it has happened for me, OIBO had the same problem. Either spam filters are getting over-zealous lately or maybe there’s something they have against .info email addresses… Anyway, thanks for approving my comments :-)

    6. Dennis Says:

Ah ya know what, that could be it. I know for one thing, a lot of the “scraper” sites I find have a .info domain.

      Anyhoo, your welcome! :)

Well they are cheap. I picked mine out of rebelliousness. :-P
